Strategic Priorities (2026 – 2030)

Stonewall Columbus exists to increase visibility, inclusion, and connection for the LGBTQ+ community across Central Ohio—and beyond. Our 2026–2030 Strategic Priorities reflect a clear, community-informed direction for how we will advance our mission over the next five years.Rather than a static plan, these priorities serve as a shared framework—guiding decision-making, partnerships, programming, and investment as Stonewall continues to evolve.

Our Strategic Priorities

Establish The Center as a Trusted Third Space for Connection and Belonging

Strengthen the Stonewall Columbus Community Center as a welcoming, accessible space for connection, care, and community. The Center will continue to serve as a hub for engagement, navigation, and collaboration—supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, families, and partners across Central Ohio.

Elevate Stonewall’s Visibility, Voice, and Public Impact

Clarify and amplify Stonewall’s role as a trusted voice for LGBTQ+ Central Ohio and beyond. Through storytelling, public engagement, and advocacy, we will strengthen understanding of Stonewall’s work while uplifting and collaborating with partner organizations across the community.

Advance Pride 365 as the Framework for Year-Round Engagement

Position Pride as a year-round commitment—extending the spirit, engagement, and impact of Pride beyond June. Pride 365 reflects Stonewall’s belief that visibility, celebration, and connection should be present throughout the year, not limited to a single season.

Secure Stonewall’s Long-Term Sustainability

Ensure Stonewall’s future through responsible stewardship, diversified revenue, and long-term financial stability. This priority reflects our commitment to protecting the organization’s ability to serve the community for generations to come.

Looking Ahead

These Strategic Priorities guide Stonewall Columbus’s work through 2030 and inform how we align programs, partnerships, and resources over time. Implementation will be phased, intentional, and rooted in collaboration—ensuring that growth is sustainable, focused, and community-centered.

How This Work Is Sustained

Our ability to advance these priorities depends on flexible, values-aligned support. Annual Fund contributions power day-to-day operations and Pride 365 engagement. Support for C.A.R.E.S. Navigation ensures community members can access stabilizing and affirming resources when they need them most. Endowed gifts and legacy gifts help secure Stonewall’s future for generations to come.

We are deeply grateful to the supporters, partners, and community members who make this work possible and who continue to shape Stonewall’s future.

On behalf of the Board and Staff,

Densil Porteous (he/they)
Executive Director
