JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Duty

  • Manages campaign activities:
    • implements campaign fundraising initiatives with appropriate staff and volunteers;
    • supports the efforts of campaign leaders to recruit, train, and guide volunteer campaign leaders and committees;
    • maintains lists of prospective donors—individuals, corporations, and foundations, and create philanthropic profiles of prospects for leadership and major gifts;
    • plans and executes campaign events;
    • organizes campaign meetings and logistics;
    • oversees receipt of campaign gifts and maintenance of gift records and acknowledgements;
    • provides campaign reports to key staff and volunteers
    • helps develop campaign materials; and
    • monitors campaign budget.

Additional Fundraising Support Responsibilities

  • Assists the Executive Director in developing fundraising goals. Develops tactical plans and activities to achieve the development goals.
  • Implements fundraising plans and programs, including annual fundraising, major gifts, gift planning, grants, corporate giving and sponsorship, tele-funding and direct mail, and digital/social media fundraising.
  • Maintains an effective database management of all donor records. Ensures effective data management and reporting to the Executive Director and the board. Conducts analysis and evaluation of fundraising programs and results.
  • Coordinates grant activity including grant applications, grant monitoring, and reporting; researching grant opportunities; support application process; ensure relationships are cultivated with foundations, grantors, and government agencies to maximum potential for funding/grant opportunities.
  • Participates in community events to represent Stonewall Columbus and to develop relationships. Provides support to the board in fundraising activity including training, development of collateral materials, relationship management, and ongoing donor cultivation efforts.
  • Develops effective relationships with donors (both individual and foundation/corporate) philanthropic community, and partner organizations. Supports cultivation of relationships to achieve the full fundraising potential of the community.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: BA/BS Degree.

Experience: Work experience that requires strong project planning and coordination experience.

Desirable: Donor relations, fundraising, and fund development experience. Experience in developing fundraising plans. Experience working with boards and nonprofit organizations.
