This Saturday, the Stonewall Ohio Freedom to Marry Coalition will be presenting a workshop at the National Women’s Music Festival at OSU. For those wanting to learn more about this “hot topic” check out the Stonewall OFTMC panelists and hear wht is happening with same-sex marriage. Civil Marriage, What is Happening and Why Should I Care?
The movement to include same-sex couples in civil marriage laws has made a tremendous amount of progress. At the same time, the anti-gay industry and the current administration are working to make same-sex couples the “Weapons of Marriage Destruction” (or “Distraction” if you’d like) during this election year. This workshop will discuss civil marriage, why it’s important to families and the political ramifications of the anti-gay Federal Marriage Amendment.
