The Men 4 Men Project of CATF, in coordination with Stonewall Columbus, the Buckeye Region Anti-Violence Organization, and Outlook Media, is proud to debut Meth: The Movie to Ohio. The film, which directed by documentarian Todd Ahlberg (whose festival favorite Hooked explored online hookups among gay men), explores how the phenomenon of crystal meth use has affected sex and dating in the gay male community.Shot in an interview-style format, the movie allows several men to state in their own word their experiences with the drug, from the beginning of an ecstatic thrill ride to the ending of a crushing addiction. Ahlberg’s finesse with his interviews creates a very palpable sense of the emotions these men are feeling.
Not only will this be the film’s first showing in Ohio, but Todd Ahlberg will be at the debut to both introduce the film and field questions from the audience afterward. Please join us in welcoming Mr. Alhberg and his film to Ohio.
