Our community’s health and safety are critically important and so as to ensure we are all here and thriving this year we will once again go virtual for the 2021 Stonewall Columbus Pride March and program!
What is a Virtual PRIDE March?
Like last fall’s virtual march we will once again present a compilation of virtual submissions by businesses and organizations that will be broadcast! We’ll “kick-off” from the comfort of your selected location and chosen viewing screen–the march program will start at 9:30am on Saturday, June 19, 2021.
Submissions should be creative and relevant to you/your organization–not an extended infomercial. Though not limited to this…think more social media content…an extended Instagram Story or an awkwardly long Twitter Fleet and less television commercial. Have fun! Get silly! Be creative! We encourage you to take the same energy and effort that would be put into a creating a traditional marching production into your virtual submission. Bright colors, smiling faces, outlandish outfits and costumes all have a place! Film in 4K when you can–newer smart phones have this capability and always film horizontally!
Submissions should be created and filmed in a way that promotes physical social distancing and proper COVID health safety measures. We recommend using the same rules that apply when you are out in public when it comes to filming your submission. We trust you’ll know what’s right…or you can check out the State of Ohio’s COVID resource page.

Participants are encouraged to wear bright, colorful clothes, costumes and accessories that celebrate PRIDE. Keep in mind that this demonstration of PRIDE is a family-friendly event and community standards should to be maintained–especially virtually.
These videos are not meant to be commercials, but rather messages of support, encouragement, and community spirit. We encourage community organizations, companies, entertainers, family and friends to create video content unique to this event showing their PRIDE. Submission videos must be horizontally formatted–longways if using a phone to take video.
The march lineup (order of entries) will be determined after the registration deadline–May 3. The lineup will consist of video submissions, interspersed with performances, other features, and occasional live spots featuring the march event hosts.
