Panel Discussion: The Impact of Issue 1 on Adoption Rights

Panel Discussion: The Impact of Issue 1 on Adoption Rights

Where: The Ohio State University, College of Law, Room 352
When: Tuesday, April 5th, at Noon
Sponsored by: The Outlaws & The Advocates for Children Northeast Ohio, open to the public:

On Thursday April 7 from 4:30pm-6:30pm members of the Gay Straight Law Alliance, the Law Association for Women, the Federalist Society, the ACLU Student Organization, and the Department of Student Life are hosting a symposium at the University of Akron’s Student Union Theatre to discuss the purposes and consequences of Issue 1: Ohio’s Marriage Amendment. We have invited speakers from various different organizations to address the differing viewpoints of the amendment.

The panelists will include representatives from the Human Rights Campaign, the Alliance Defense Fund, the ACLU, the Pro-Family Network and the University of Akron School of Law. There will be an open dialogue on Issue
1 including a question and answer session with the audience. Following the program there will be a reception featuring our panelists and free pizza, soda, and other snacks.
