Julie Klingenberg is a lifelong Columbus, Ohio community member. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Accounting and Management Information Systems. She has over 20 years of professional service with American Electric Power working as an accountant, and has served on multiple IT projects implementing new technology to help the Procurement standardize and gain efficiencies thru technology.
Her impact on social equality initiatives in the workplace and beyond is rooted in her work as AEPs ERG Pride chair. She is a steadfast Ally. Her goal is to drive change thru education and has introduced many LGBTQIA concepts to AEP with the hopes of breaking down walls, knowing that people fear and hold prejudice with what they don’t understand.
Julie is extremely proud of her family that includes her husband Keith, sons Ian, Zachary, and Nathan, and her future daughter-in-law, Kelsey.
