On Monday, May 17th at 7pm, the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Columbus, with the support of the Human Rights Campaign and the newly formed Stonewall Ohio Freedom to Marry Coalition, will host an Interfaith Rededication and Solidarity Ceremony in the church sanctuary at 93 W. Weisheimer Rd. The Rev. Dr. Mark Belletini will coordinate the ceremony.
This event will bring together people of faith from various religions and denominations who share the conviction that God’s love and grace are for all people, as well as, demonstrate gay-straight solidarity for equal rights, including the right to marry. Those interested in rededicating themselves to their partner or simply wanting to publicly proclaim their commitment are encouraged to attend. Along with other clergy, Rev. Dr. Belletini will coordinate an interfaith ceremony for same-gender or opposite gender couples. This opportunity lets community members rededicate themselves to spouses and partners and to the inalienable and sacred right of individuals to choose their partners for life.
All are invited and encouraged to attend. For more information, please contact Pat Bentz of the First UU Church at coragm3333@pf.pbz or call Kellye Pinkleton, Stonewall Columbus at 299-7764 ext. 11.
