Halloween-themed decorated cars, LGBTQ entertainers, and a call to vote early will come together at the first, “No Tricks, Just Vote,” a call for the Franklin County LGBTQ Community and allies to get out and vote early in this November’s election. The event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Franklin County Board of Elections.
Led by Get the Vote Out, a non-partisan LGBTQ voter education and empowerment group, along with other Central Ohio LGBTQ organizations and leaders, this event is designed to increase LGBTQ voter turnout in an otherwise low-participation election.
Highlights will include several local LGBTQ entertainers, candidates on the ballot, elected leaders and feature a Trunk or Treat, where folks are encouraged to decorate their vehicles and put them on display for the chance to win one of several prizes. In addition, there will be candy for children, as well as many other surprises.
