The OUTIE Foundation Presents: Discussion on Domestic ViolenceColumbus, OH: On July 27, 2005 the OUTIE Foundation will present, “Understanding Gay & Lesbian Domestic Violence Community Outreach Programs,” a benefit for BRAVO and Stonewall Columbus.
This special event, from 3 to 5 p.m., will feature Laura Hosto, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor from Howard Brown Health Center in Chicago, Illinois. Laura works as a psychotherapist serving lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered survivors of domestic violence. Her training experience has concentrated on health & wellness issues and LGBT education, including counseling gay men about their sexual risk and HIV. In addition to her counseling services, she also serves as a board member for LGBT Shelter Chicago, an organization committed to creating safe shelter space for LGBT survivors of domestic violence.
A cocktail reception will follow from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Both the Domestic Violence presentation and reception will be held at Two Miranova Place, Columbus, OH 43215. Donations in the amount of $15.00 per person, will be accepted for the benefiting agencies.
