Cornerstone Consulting

Cornerstone Consulting is Stonewall Columbus’s LGBTQ+ education, training, and consulting program for businesses, schools, faith communities, healthcare providers, and other organizations. Through peer-led learning and strategic support, we help you build affirming, equitable environments where LGBTQ+ people—and all people—can thrive.

Our approach is grounded in lived experience, cultural humility, and data-informed practice. Sessions are offered in-person and virtually, and can be customized by audience type and age range.

Flagship Experience: LGBTQ+ 101
LGBTQ+ 101 is Cornerstone Consulting’s flagship offering and our recommended starting point for organizations beginning—or recommitting to—their inclusion journey. This session builds shared language, foundational understanding, and inclusive practices while creating space for questions and reflection.

Our Learning Framework

Cornerstone offerings are organized into three levels to help you engage intentionally and build capacity over time.

100-Level: Foundations

Purpose: Shared language, core concepts, and context.

Typical Format: 60 minutes (presentation + Q&A)

Common topics include:

  • LGBTQ+ 101 (Flagship Experience)
  • Pride & Prejudice: LGBTQ+ Pride History
  • Creating Safe Spaces for LGBTQ+ Seniors

Fees:
Corporate/Commercial: $500
Higher Ed: $400
Nonprofit/K–12: $200
Government: $600

200-Level: Practice

Purpose: Move from awareness to day-to-day practice.

Typical Format: 75–90 minutes

Common topics include:

  • Transgender & Gender-Expansive Identities
  • Pride in Practice
  • Allyship 365
  • Responding to Bias, Harm, & Microaggressions

Fees:
Corporate/Commercial: $1,000
Higher Ed: $800
Nonprofit/K–12: $450
Government: $1,200

300-Level: Strategy & Accountability

Purpose: Embed inclusion into systems, leadership, and culture.

Typical Format: Customized (readiness-based)

Engagement areas include:

  • Trans Inclusion & Affirmation (policy + practice)
  • Institutionalizing Inclusion (leadership + operations)
  • Community-Centered Safety & Belonging
  • Executive / Board facilitation

Fees:
90 min: $1,000
Half-day: $2,500
Full-day: $5,000
Series: Custom Quote

Option A: Cultural Competency Training (60–90 minutes)

Peer-led sessions designed for real-world application. Available in-person or virtual. Customized by audience, age range, and goals.

Option C: Pride 365 Learning & Listening Commitment (for partners)

Cornerstone supports Stonewall’s year-round learning strategy. For Pride 365 partners, we encourage designating at least one staff member to participate in a Stonewall-facilitated learning opportunity during the calendar year.
