Leo is the youngest member of the Stonewall team, a native of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico Leo is a recent transplant to Columbus.
Throughout his life and his intersectional identity, Leo has become eager to engage in community-based work and development.
His initial involvement with the Stonewall team started in 2022 when he volunteered at Columbus Pride 2022 to then proceeded to volunteer at The Center as a Center Greeter.
Coming from a STEM field, Leo majored in Environmental Engineering at the University of Ciudad Juarez, Mx; However, the work and mission of Stonewall as well as the new-found community he found in Columbus impulsed him to change his educational direction and pursue a career in the public service and non-profit sector.
Currently, Leo functions as the Marketing & Business Coordinator for Stonewall. In his words “It’s my privilege and great honor to form part of an organization that works every day to ensure that individuals like me who grew up feeling unauthentically themselves have a safe space and access to resources and opportunities”
