Dr. Terrence Brooks (he/him) is a native of Toledo, OH, and has proudly called Columbus home for more than 15 years. His educational journey began as a Buckeye, where he completed a Bachelor of Art degree in English. He went on to complete a Masters of Science in College Student Personnel from Western Illinois University and a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership from Franklin University. He’s been active in Columbus’s LGBTQ+ community with works including: Columbus Urban Pride, New Leaf, United Way’s Pride Leadership program, Board of Director for Kaleidoscope Youth Center, and as an identity advocate in the workplace for both student and employee groups. Terrence currently serves as the Senior Director of Student Life at Columbus State Community College supporting engagement and belonging efforts. In addition to work and community engagement, Terrence enjoys spending time with his husband, Michael, of four years (14 years together) and fur-baby Angel, being a God father to seven wonderful humans, and connecting with chosen family and friends.
