Dominiece Hoelyfield

Dominiece is a native of Illinois, where she graduated with a B.A. degree in Radio/TV from Southern Illinois University and obtained an M.S. degree in Higher Education at Illinois State University. She has 10 years of experience with high impact programming, facilitation, and diversity training with topics ranging from but not limited to equity and access, LGBTQ advocacy, and cultural consciousness. Prior to moving to Columbus, OH in June 2016, Dominiece opened the first LBGTQ Resource Center at Missouri State University and advocated for policy change.

Since her arrival to Columbus, OH, Dominiece participated and graduated from United Way of Central Ohio’s Project Diversity and Pride Leadership program. She is a Program Manager for The Graduate School’s Diversity and Recruitment Initiatives unit at The Ohio State University, where she recruits historically underrepresented and underserved students.

A couple of peculiar facts about Dominiece is that she does not like wet paper, of any kind and enjoys connecting with people through music, travel, and food.
