Craig Chadwell (he/him/his) is all about connecting people, loving people, and living life with a sense of humor — whether through technology, community involvement, or a playful word pun. A Central Ohio native with family ties in London, Ohio, Craig grew up in Galloway before planting roots in the Gahanna/Blacklick area. He studied Public Relations Journalism at The Ohio State University, where he still proudly marches with the TBDBITL Alumni, and later earned his BA in Business Administration from Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
Craig spent 20 years with Computer Helper Publishing, creators of the church management software Church Windows. Starting in Technical Support, he grew into roles including Marketing Manager and Webmaster, gaining experience in customer care, digital marketing, and technology solutions. Since then, he has continued working in web development, digital strategy, project coordination, and content management. What drives him most is making technology less intimidating and more empowering for others — a role he naturally fills for friends and family whenever phones, computers, or even car connections act up.
Outside of work, Craig’s world is full of family, music, and two-wheeled miles. He is both a motorcyclist and bicyclist, and he and his family have raised more than $10,000 riding with Pelotonia to support cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute. Music is also a constant: he has sung with his barbershop quartet for nearly 30 years, plays multiple saxophones (not all at once) and French horn. As a lover of all things music, he also plays alto horn at Ohio State Marching Band Alumni events, and serves as a rotating musician at Gates Fourth United Methodist Church in German/Merion Village. He his husband have co-founded the 501(c)(3) community giving entity, The Giving Gathering, which provides one-time emergency assistance to those in need.
Craig and his husband, Mike, share life with their grown children, Brea, Dominic, daughter-in-law Nikki, Cassady, and their grandson, along with three spirited Australian Shepherds — Bogan, Larrikin, and Mozzie. Their daughter Cassady is also active in Columbus’ LGBTQ+ community through Studio West 614, where she manages and teaches voice, dance, and more in an inclusive space for creativity and growth.
For Craig, being part of Stonewall Columbus brings together his years of digital experience with his passion for connecting people, celebrating identity, and helping create spaces where all feel welcome, seen, valued, and celebrated.
