Following the success of the “Stitch N Bitch” Knitting kick-off event on Wednesday, December 1st, Stonewall Columbus is pleased to announce that the community has spoken and wants to continue gathering in a fun, safe atmosphere to socialize, learn a hobby and “stitch ‘n bitch.” The group will meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 7pm at the Stonewall Community Center (1160 N. High Street), with the first monthly meeting being Wednesday, December 8th, 2004.
The Stitch ‘N Bitch group will be for knitting fans, long-time knitters and those that want to learn a new craft. Kate Burdett, Group Coordinator and Stonewall Volunteer, will be on hand at each meeting to assist newbies that want to learn a new skill. “We were so pleased with the large turnout at last night’s gathering and folks really had a great time,” stated Kate.
The “Stitch N Bitch” group is asking for donations, such as yarn and needles, from those that would like to support Stonewall’s efforts. To donate materials to the group, or for more information on the group, please contact Kellye Pinkleton at 614-930-2261 or email at xcvaxyrgba@fgbarjnyypbyhzohf.bet.
