My name is Brian Render and I am from West Chester, a small suburb outside of Cincinnati! I grew up in Cincinnati but went to college at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. I moved to Dayton for school but stuck around and still live here for work. I have worked in human resources since the summer of 2020 and have fallen in love with my job. I have only been in the field for a few years but already have some achievements I am very proud of. Early on, I created, led, and hosted weekly town halls where I would coach the managers and leads about various subjects such as mental health in the workplace, LGBTQ+ inclusion, diversity, bias in the workplace, and many more. I was able to gather feedback after several months of the town halls and found that more than half of the employees felt they were genuinely better understood, cared about, and treated better by their superiors. Outside of work, I have helped volunteer locally at the Boys and Girls Club of Dayton as well as assisting at Matthew 25 Ministries in Cincinnati with their yearly fundraiser years ago during my high school service. I started volunteering here at Stonewall this year to be able to make a difference in our community. It is a community that comes together when it matters most and I want to be able to do what I can to add to the support!
