Alex van Gulijk (she/her) is a Columbus native and has served the Central Ohio community in numerous leadership, volunteer, and professional roles for over 18 years.
As a professional, Alex has most recently served 13 years in the financial services industry as an Operational Manager, including multiple analytic & technology roles. During her tenure, she has extensively managed relationships to successfully carry out process improvement, change management, & client integration projects on behalf of the Workforce Management & Planning organization which supports over 40,000+ users throughout the company.
As a volunteer, Alex has 14 years of service & 1000’s of hours with multiple volunteer organizations. Most notably, she has spent a large portion of that tenure with the American Red Cross as a regional leader for the disaster response organization, has deployed to both local & national disasters, & serves as a First Aid Services Team dispatcher. Alex’s unique volunteer experiences & depth of tenure have allowed her to support & coordinate volunteer efforts for multiple city-wide events such as the Cap City Half Marathon, Columbus Marathon, Ohio State University football games & concerts, Dublin Irish Festival, local high school booster organizations & events, and Stonewall Columbus PRIDE.
Alex is excited to bring her passion for serving others, including the LGTBQIA+ community, & extensive knowledge of event management to the PRIDE Steering Committee for Stonewall Columbus.
