Honoring the Life and Legacy of LeeAnn Massucci

Dear Stonewall Columbus Community,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of LeeAnn Massucci, Jan. 19, 2025, a dedicated advocate, community leader, and cherished member of the Central Ohio LGBTQ+ community. LeeAnn’s unwavering commitment to justice, equity, and the well-being of others has left an indelible mark on all of us.

As a long-standing supporter of Stonewall Columbus and a vocal advocate for equality, LeeAnn deeply understood the importance of building a stronger, more inclusive future for all. Her contributions to initiatives like those celebrated at the Columbus Metropolitan Club Forum: Stonewall’s 40 Years of Impact underscored her commitment to amplifying the voices and stories of the LGBTQ+ community. Her life’s work served as a testament to the power of advocacy and community building, and her legacy will continue to inspire us in the years to come.

LeeAnn’s influence extended far beyond her professional accomplishments; she touched countless lives with her compassion, generosity, and dedication to advancing LGBTQ+ rights. Her presence was a constant reminder of the power of community and the importance of standing together in the face of adversity.

On behalf of the entire Stonewall Columbus family, we extend our deepest condolences to LeeAnn’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we mourn this profound loss, let us also celebrate the extraordinary life she lived and the impact she had on our community.

In her honor, we will continue the work she so passionately supported, striving for a future where every person feels seen, valued, and celebrated. LeeAnn was a guiding light for so many, and her legacy will remain an integral part of the story of Stonewall Columbus.

Rest in power, LeeAnn. You will be dearly missed, but your light will forever guide us.
