THURSDAY, APRIL 21
11:00AM
The Thomas J. Moyer Ohio Judicial Center is home to the Supreme Court of Ohio, its affiliated offices, as well as the Ohio Court of Claims and the Ohio Judicial Conference. The historic 1930s structure, formerly known as the Ohio State Office Building, underwent a meticulous four-year renovation and was reopened as the Ohio Judicial Center in 2004. The tour focuses on the role of the judiciary, the day-to-day operations of the Ohio Supreme Court, while also exploring the history of Ohio that is told through the building’s 1930 Art Deco artwork and architecture. On this tour, we will explore firsthand the beautiful architecture and the array of murals, bronze sculptures, mosaics, and symbols that adorn the interior.
As of this time masks are required. I will update you if this changes. Also, we will all be required to pass through security screening. We will enter the building through the main entrance at 65 S. Front Street.
Transportation to and from the building will be provided by King Avenue Church.
Please be at the church no later than 10:30.
Free parking is available at the church lot.
