Tiny Table Talks

October 22 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm EDT

Tiny Table Talks is an intimate conversation series presented by Stonewall Columbus, designed to explore and celebrate the depth and diversity of the LGBTQ+ experience. Each discussion is a mosaic of perspectives, shedding light on the nuanced realities of queer life. This series is a tribute to the power of dialogue in fostering understanding, respect, and growth.

For this installment of Tiny Table Talks, please bring your thoughts and opinions on all things Coming Out. Coming Out has been a long-standing cultural and societal tradition within the LGBTQ+ community where members find themselves revealing their identity to friends, family, advisors and mentors.

With National Coming Out Day on October 11th, we want to honor the history and significance of coming out for both our trailblazers and baby gays alike. What we recognize is a complex, multifaceted and intersectional journey for most, brings a new generation of queer folx who may no longer have a substantial need or significance for the practice.

What is your coming out story? Is it something you felt was necessary to your identity development? Do you think there is a strong need for a ceremonious coming out for generations to come or is the practice running its course? Do you think this is a mark of progress or an indicator of fear, or both? We’ll be tackling all these questions and more at the next Tiny Table Talks on October 22nd.

Tiny Table Talks aims to create a reflective space where we can collectively deconstruct stigmas, challenge stereotypes, and build solidarity. It is a call to gather, learn, and grow as a community, recognizing that while the table may be small, the potential for impact is vast. Join us as we engage in these powerful discussions, nurture connections, and inspire action towards a more inclusive world.
