Red Patience – Movement Workshop

This two hour, queer friendly, workshop will be a movement/ dance based class exploring elements used in the creation of FluxFlow Dance Project’s newest dance creation, Red Patience.

Red Patience draws inspiration from Ann Carson’s Autobiography of Red which depicts Geryon, a three-headed, red monster from the mythological world, as a sensitive queer boy who often finds himself feeling on the outside of normal. We will use imagery, exercises and movement tasks to embody our own “little red monsters” and after there will be a small showing of material from the full performance where you will have the chance to see these ideas come to life in the work.
