LGBTQ+ Health Symposium

Please join The Buckeye Ranch and the Equitas Health Institute for a jointly provided, two-day LGBTQ+ Health Symposium on Tuesday, 9/21/2021, and Wednesday, 9/22/2021 from 10 am-3:45pm virtually or at 4653 East Main Street Whitehall, Ohio. This event is free and open to the public, and attendance options include both in-person and virtual. In-person attendees must show proof of vaccination.

Continuing education credits are available for Social Work, Counseling, and Nursing.

Learning objectives include:

• Recognize the diversity of the LGBTQ+ community along race, gender identity and expression, sexuality, and lived experience.
• Identify tools and strategies to foster an inclusive and affirming environment for LGBTQ+ clients and patients.
• Increase linkage to, retention in, and quality of mental and physical healthcare and treatment for substance misuse received by LGBTQ+ clients and patients.
