Columbus Trans Pride – Columbus Trans Day of Remembrance 2020

UPDATE: Due to the spike in Covid cases, we have decided to cancel the march from Goodale to King Ave. UMC. We are still inviting people to Safely experience the memorial art installation at the King Ave UMC while following their safety guidelines. We will record a walkthrough of the memorial so you can still experience this in the safety of your own home. Thank you for understanding!
On Friday, November 20th, for a multi-layered Trans Day of Remembrance experience. We will be recording everything so you can experience this through the safety of your own home. For more information follow the link below.
• 6:00pm at King Avenue United Methodist Church for a walk-through memorial and art installation by @Briden_schueren.
• 9:oopm we will present a virtual program on YouTube (check this event for the link) with speakers, artists and performers that you can watch from the safety and comfort of your home. You can pause, rewind, or fast forward, and take it at your own pace. On Monday, November 23rd, a fully edited version of the event will be available on our Facebook page.
We hope this will be an opportunity to reflect and heal together, as a community. Safety is our top concern, and we ask that you wear a mask and practice social distancing, and dress warmly if you choose to join us in person at Goodale Park and King Avenue UMC. If you can’t join in person for whatever reason, that’s perfectly okay. We invite you to then tune in Friday at 9:00pm for our virtual program, and watch the full recording on Monday the 23rd.
