An adaptation of the Chuck Palahniuk novel, this dark and surreal drama has been on its own queer journey since its 1999 release. In the last 25 years, Fight Club’s reputation as a hypermasculine, super cynical critique of American consumer culture has been revisited by many a Gen Z’er who pick up on (not so subtle) homoerotic subtext.
