Becoming traces the journey of a young man as he struggles to reconcile his faith with his identity as a gay man. In the first movement, he wrestles with the tension between the religion he has been raised in and the feelings within himself. In movement two, he begins to open up and speak his truth to people who care about him. The final movement sees him thriving with the support of his friend, whole and free.
