Commitment Fair 2006 was a huge success!!

Stonewall Columbus would like to thank you for attending and supporting Stonewall Columbus Commitment Fair 2006 this past Thursday. The event this year was held at the beautiful Franklin Park Conservatory with a Country Western theme revolving around our ongoing theme to commit to yourself, your partner and your community. We celebrated the many avenues of commitment that the GLBT community shares among its members and those that support us. Attendees witnessed a wide array of exhibitors, cash bar, food vendors, and live entertainment. We would like to thank Nina West, Panzie Bloom, Columbus Gay Means Chorus and The Columbus Stompers for being a wonderful part of our program. We would also like to thank the following organizations for being represented in our fashion show. Equality Ohio, SpeakOUT, Columbus AIDS Task Force, BRAVO, Crystal Club, Kaleidoscope Youth Coalition and Ohio Freedom to Marry Coalition. These representatives of GLBTA organizations donned formal wear, western wear, athletic wear and beach wear and strutted their stuff on the cat walk like professionals. Each organization should be very proud of their representative. In addition to the models and entertainers, we would like to thank all the volunteers, board members and Jeff VanDyke from Torso for their assistance with the fashion show as well as the entire event.

Stonewall Columbus receives countless inquiries throughout the year for information on caterers, florists, musicians, event locations, jewelers, photographers, limo services, honeymoon locations and most importantly, who can perform the ceremony. This is Stonewall Columbus’ way of communicating that information and addressing those questions.

Stonewall would like to especially thank our event sponsors, Franklin Park Conservatory, Ambient Creations, Out In Columbus, Outlook Weekly, Lasting Impressions, Columbus Gay Real Estate.com, Blue Moon Event Center, Torso, OP Gallo, JP Morgan Chase, Nth Degree, Prudential Financial, Capital Club, Buca di Beppo, Ameriprise Financial, Jan Kish with La Petite Fleur, Studio Twelve Photography and Macys for their generous support of this event, Stonewall Columbus and the GLBT Community.

Stonewall Columbus is a human rights organization serving Central Ohio through advocacy, community building and education. We do this in pursuit of equality, fairness and safety for the entire gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.
