Sierra has thoroughly enjoyed working on the Stonewall Columbus team as the organization’s Sr. Manager of Business & Infrastructure for the last several years. Sierra came to the center with a wide variety of experiences ranging from facilities management, DEI consulting, and fundraising and now continues to leverage her experience and passion of event planning, and creating space for the LGBTQ community 365 days a year.
While attending Ohio Northern University, Sierra began her fundraising career helping plan on-campus fundraising events for students and alumni as well as trying her hand at writing pieces featuring the university’s unique donor base. After graduating from Ohio Northern University in 2019 with her Bachelor’s in Science, Business Administration, Sierra began her work at Columbus’ local Ohio Living Foundation as a Development Coordinator where she assisted the team on their direct fundraising efforts and storytelling of the members of their community through their quarterly newsletter. Sierra received her Masters of Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma at the end of 2021, specializing in the intersectionality of racial and sexual identity and mental health.
Through her time as the House Director of the local OSU Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha, as well as serving as the organization’s DEI Consultant, she gained insight into running a facility as well as how to create and provide an inclusive space for students within the community.
Sierra’s favorite part of her role is interacting with the LGBTQ community and creating meaningful, impactful and memorable moments of joy to share with their guests, families and community members.
