Izzi Gibbon (she/they) is a Doctorate of Occupational Therapy candidate at Northern Kentucky University and a Student Intern at Stonewall Columbus. Izzi is completing their capstone project driven by a mission to expand the scope of Occupational Therapy in gender-affirming care, moving beyond surgical recovery to incorporate the holistic approach of OT in daily life activities. At Stonewall, Izzi is leading the revitalization of the Ultimate Trans Survival Guide and assessing community engagement to ensure that Stonewall Columbus’s resources truly meet the needs of those they serve.
Izzi brings passion for teamwork and empowerment outside of the Center as well; they are an active member of the Columbus Squirrels Rugby Club and serves as the head coach for the Denison University women’s rugby team. They believe that moving through an accessible world with confidence is a right that should be afforded to everyone.
