Dedicated to community, arts, and culture as essential to a community’s quality of life, Kris Jackson brings a deep commitment to creative leadership and service. A native of Akron, Ohio, he has proudly called Columbus home since 2020.
Kris has an extensive background in the arts, including many years of volunteer leadership with Players by the Sea, Jacksonville Beach’s premier community theatre. There, he served in numerous roles—Director of the New Voices program supporting emerging playwrights, Volunteer Coordinator, Special Events Coordinator, Board Member-at-Large, Board President, and Managing Director. In recognition of his lasting contributions, he was named Board President Emeritus in 2022.
With a passion for music and musical theatre, Kris has directed and produced large-scale productions including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and RENT: The Musical. His creative expertise also spans the music industry, where he has served as a Music Producer, Artist & Repertoire Director, and Artist Brand Manager.
In addition to his professional and artistic work, Kris serves as Vice President of Operations and Senior Portfolio Manager for Star High Management and as Board President of the SIGMA 614 Foundation. He has held leadership roles on multiple nonprofit boards and was honored as a 2024 “Game Changer” in Who’s Who in Black Columbus (18th Edition).
A proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., where he serves as International Deputy Chief of Staff, Kris resides in the Grandview area. He enjoys traveling, spending time with his godchildren, and doting on his mini sheepadoodle, Oliver Spin-Sir.
