Francisco A. Caro Jr. serves as the Programs Site Manager for Health Center Programs at Equitas Health, where he oversees Central Ohio HIV care and prevention programs and provides leadership for statewide initiatives through the Ohio HIV/STI Hotline. His work centers on expanding access to care for communities most impacted by HIV through coordinated, equity-driven program design.
In his role, Francisco leads programmatic and operational efforts across HIV case management, housing-first initiatives, PrEP navigation, harm reduction, and HIV/STI testing. He also manages Brothers in Unity, an affinity-based space for same-gender-loving men of color focused on community connection, health equity, and collective care.
Francisco brings extensive experience in public health consulting and systems-level collaboration, having partnered with organizations including the National Minority AIDS Council, National AIDS Education Services for Minorities, The Ohio State University College of Public Health, and the Central Ohio Hospital Council. He was named to the de Beaumont Foundation’s 40 Under 40 in Public Health class and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Kaleidoscope Youth Center. He also serves as Co-Chair of the Executive Committee of the Central Ohio HIV Planning Alliance at Columbus Public Health.
Francisco holds a bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communication with a minor in Sociology from The Ohio State University and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration with a specialization in Healthcare Management at Franklin University.
