Tyreese Bowman is a Columbus, Ohio native. Tyreese is a graduate of Capital University, where he received his B.A. in Business Administration and served as a liaison exchange student studying International Business Ethics at London Southbank University. Tyreese has been working in the nonprofit space since 2015 with communities such as LGBTQ+ Youth, BIPOC, and Persons living with HIV. Tyreese is now the Outreach Coordinator for the Short North Alliance, connecting local businesses and stakeholders to programs centering on community building, safety, and public art. Most recently, he has led outreach for three new initiatives: The Good Neighbor Pledge, which encourages businesses to adopt unified community standards around inclusion, safety, and cleanliness. The Short North CPASS, allows any person who works in the Short North Arts District to receive a free transit pass to and from work. Fostering Belonging and De-escalation Training is free community training for businesses to adopt best practices when interacting with patrons, people experiencing homelessness, and people experiencing mental health crises.
