The Trailblazers is a program at Stonewall Columbus for LGBTQ+ Adults ages 55+ that was created through a generous gift from The Legacy Fund over 15 years ago. As one of Stonewall’s longest running programs roughly 20% of the Center’s visitors participate in our Trailblazer’s program.
Trailblazer events include support groups, seminars/workshops, the Trailblazer Newsletter, and social outings.

Each year Stonewall hosts a series of seminars on issues ranging from legal issues, healthcare and computer use.
The Trailblazer Newsletter goes out via email about twice a month and highlights a variety of upcoming events and outings. Our popular social outings happen at least once a month where Trailblazers meet and get a ride to the theater or a concert, and then finish up at Union Café for discounted food and drinks.
The Stonewall Columbus Pride Festival has a special Trailblazer Lounge where you can get out of the sun, relax, and even use separate restrooms. Ask about getting a Trailblazer wristband so you can get in! This year has been busy for the Trailblazers, and there is still much more to come, so join us!
