DESCRIPTION:October is LGBTQIA+ History Month\, and the third week in October is Ace Awareness Week\, so we are celebrating with two amazing queer authors. \nCody Daigle-Orians (they/them) is a writer and asexuality educator living in Columbus\, Ohio. They are the creator of Ace Dad Advice\, a social media-based asexuality education project designed to support people exploring asexuality or questioning their sexual orientation. They are the author of the young adult books I AM ACE: ADVICE ON LIVING YOUR BEST ASEXUAL LIFE and THE ACE AND ARO RELATIONSHIP GUIDE\, and they are a contributor to LETTERS TO MY YOUNGER QUEER SELF and the 2024 Lambda Literary Award finalist anthology BEING ACE. They were nominated for a 2023 British LGBTQ Award for Online Influencer. They are queer\, ace\, and agender. \nWith an immense focus on empowering and uplifting marginalized communities\, photographer\, digital artist\, educator\, public speaker\, and author of The Queer Allies Bible\, NV Gay of Mx. Gay’s Creative Direction draws inspiration through their life experiences as a transgender individual. Their work explores topics of the human condition bolstered by the words and lived experiences of NV’s subjects. With intent on treasuring individualistic self-expression\, NV exposes the raw wounds of prejudice and abuse\, while advocating for the inherent beauty in being human. Pronouns (They/She) \nThere will be an interview and discussion with the authors\, followed by readings and a book signing.

A Culture Strike 2021 Disruptor\, Black Boy/Girl Writes Fellow and Twitter Spaces Spark Creator\, DoctorJonPaul is trailblazer who is creating\, sharing\, and crafting the stories their ancestors didn’t get to tell. \nHiggins will be joined in conversation by Columbus’s very own AS Green.
