Cult Film Icons Return to the Road for a 2026 American Tour

(San Francisco, CA — January 2026) — Two of cult cinema’s most beloved provocateurs are hitting the road once again. Mink Stole and Peaches Christ reunite for IDOL WORSHIP, a wildly entertaining and deeply personal live show celebrating cult movies, drag history, and a friendship more than two decades in the making.

Equal parts cabaret, conversation, and cinematic confession, Idol Worship blends storytelling, rare film clips, live musical moments, and uncensored anecdotes into an evening that is as hilarious as it is heartfelt. Whether you’re a devotee of John Waters, a student of drag history, or simply a fan of fearless women who helped shape underground cinema, this is a one-of-a-kind theatrical event.

An original Dreamlander, Mink Stole has appeared in every John Waters film—from Roman Candles to A Dirty Shame—and has become an enduring icon of transgressive American cinema. Peaches Christ, the San Francisco-based drag impresario and filmmaker behind All About Evil and the legendary Midnight Mass film events, has collaborated with Stole on stage and screen since first inviting her to headline a Waters tribute in 2001.

“Every time we do this show, something new comes out,” says Stole. “Some memories. Some secrets. Maybe even a few lies.” Peaches Christ adds, “I grew up memorizing Mink’s lines from movies, so getting to share a stage with her—now, after more than twenty years of friendship—is still surreal. This tour has new stories, new surprises, and that same intimate, conspiratorial energy audiences love.”

On February 23, 2026, cult film icon Mink Stole and I will present our live show IDOL WORSHIP at Studio 35. The evening is an intimate celebration of queer film history, cult cinema, and storytelling, and it will open with a performance by local favorite Saranade. It’s also one of the final stops on our current tour, and our first time bringing this show to Columbus.
