Compensation: $21 – $25/hr based on education, experience, and applicable licensures
Schedule: Monday – Friday (20 hours/week); Dependent on community programs and learning events. Overtime approved by management.
POSITION SUMMARY

The schedule for this position requires weekday/evening hours as well as occasional weekend hours to manage activities to benefit the organization.
The Program Coordinator – Community Programs & Learning is responsible for developing, coordinating, and supporting educational and community-based programming at Stonewall Columbus. This role focuses on creating learning opportunities for LGBTQ+ individuals of all ages, including workshops, discussion groups, digital literacy training, and cultural events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Learn and understand the Stonewall Columbus organization and the Columbus community in an effort to best support community programs in relation to the Stonewall mission. Must be an individual who embraces innovation and continuous improvement, welcoming the challenge of finding creative ways to work smarter and connect with community.
Community Program Coordination (50%)
- Research, plan, and implement educational and cultural programs that align with the mission of Stonewall Columbus.
- Support identity-based and intergenerational programs, including Trailblazers, learning series, and special events.
- Assist with program logistics such as scheduling, space setup, technology support, and participant communications.
- Develop and update program materials, learning tools, and resources to enhance participant experience.
- Foster an inclusive, welcoming environment where participants feel engaged and supported.
- Assist in the recruitment of volunteers/program facilitators to lead/facilitate programs
- Oversee effectiveness of current programs and program facilitators
- Attend monthly program committee meetings.
- Monitor implementation of program policies and practices.
- Create and maintain program records, reports, presentations and proposals
- Including, but not limited to, program outcome data, demographics of program participants, etc.
Learning & Educational Support (40%)
- Assist in designing and implementing educational curriculum, workshops, and training sessions (e.g, digital literacy, professional development, and cultural competency.
- Support the facilitation of group learning activities and provide one-on-one assistance to participants when needed.
- Track learning outcomes, participant engagement, and program evaluations.
- Compile data and feedback to improve curriculum and measure program success.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure programs are promoted effectively to community members.
Administrative & Organizational Support 10%
- Maintain accurate program records, outcome data, and reports for evaluation and grant requirements.
- Assist with grant reporting and proposal development.
- Provide program updates, outcomes, and success stories for newsletters, website, and community reports.
- Represent Stonewall Columbus at community events, meetings, and collaborative partner activities as assigned.
- Attend after-hour events and activities as a meaningful part of building relationships and deepening organizational impact.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Education: Bachelors in human services field; preferred.
- OR – Associates degree in human services field with two years’ experience (see below)
- OR – High school diploma or equivalent with three years’ experience (see below)
- Experience: Experience with supporting all ages within the LGBTQ+ community, development disabilities, sex education, or a related public sector human service field.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency with computer programs necessary to complete the above tasks included Outlook, Mailchimp, Salesforce, and other applicable systems.
- Driving and Background Check: Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance, and pass a criminal background check
