It is a call to gather\, learn\, and grow as a community\, recognizing that while the table may be small\, the potential for impact is vast. \nRed [Space] at Stonewall Columbus\, serves as an affirming space for queer community to learn\, explore\, and understand HIV/STI wellness. Red [Space]’s primary focus is on creating space (programming and resource connection) for underrepresented (BIPoC) queer populations in and around Columbus/Central Ohio. \nHistorically\, Red [Space] has taken a larger role at Pride than at the Center\, providing a stage for folks from marginalized community to provide entertainment\, tell their stories\, and highlight the joy and vibrancy of the LGBTQ+ community. Our hope is to expand this program at the Center\, creating a safe space where folks can learn\, grow and thrive in their journey living with or being impacted by HIV/AIDS\, not in spite of it. We want to build a program for community\, by community. \n Get Tickets!

Instructors provide physical waivers or iPad. Water provided (courtesy of Stonewall)\, but participants are welcome to bring their own if desired.\nMATS & PROPS – provided for participants (courtesy of Central Outreach & Stonewall)\, but participants are welcome to bring their own if desired.\nCLASS TIME – 1 HR yoga practice + approx. 30 MIN mindfulness discussion/community engagement/socializing\n\nCLASS DESCRIPTION\nQueer Yoga is a mindfulness-based program offered to the LGBTQ+ community that promotes holistic health & wellness for Queer folx. \nSafe & supportive allies of Queer Yoga participants\, are also welcome to attend in solidarity with their family and/or friends. \nEach class offering is beginner-friendly. Instructors make the class accessible for 1st-timers\, and offer alternative poses for more advanced practitioners. \nThe program features a variety of styles and approaches\, but mainly integrates Restorative Yoga\, Hatha Yoga\, and/or Vinyasa Yoga coupled with meditation & breathwork. \nQueer Yoga upholds a platform of diversity & inclusion within the yoga teacher rotation\, to honor the fact that representation matters for students. My name is Gabe and I’m beyond thrilled to join Stonewall Columbus as the Adventure Pride Facilitator. I am a Columbus native and lived in Boston for 10 years before returning to my home state to live my exuberant queer life here in the Midwest. I currently live in the Short North with my amazing daughter and my delightfully silly dog. \nI’m an engineer by day but love to get outside and experience the wholeness of the wild\, natural world. I love rock climbing\, mud races\, kayaking\, gardening\, painting\, and improv. My most recent adventure was a 130-mile solo kayaking trip that left from Columbus and followed the Scioto River until it merged into Ohio River. It was as fun as it was challenging\, and the time in nature empowered me to connect to my inner strength and beauty. \nI hope to use my role at Stonewall to do some of my favorite things: connecting with people\, honoring my body through movement\, and being out in nature. I’m so excited to meet you all as we go on outdoor adventures and explore some of the amazing space central Ohio has to offer. \n

DESCRIPTION:Our next session starts February 26th – grab your dancing shoes & let’s boogie!\n\n\n\nPlease read through the details of the class thoroughly before completing your transaction. The class takes place over the course of 6 weeks. \nAdvanced participants who have received the go-ahead from Jeff should plan to arrive at 6:15pm. If Jeff has not discussed attending this early session\, please plan to arrive at 7:15pm. \nClass fees:\n\nIndividuals: $30 per person (+cc fees)\nor $20 for Stonewall members (+cc fees)\n\n\nCouples: $50 per couple (+cc fees)\nor $30 for Stonewall members (+cc fees)\n\n\nPayment is required prior to the first class.\n\nThere is a minimum of 4 couples or 8 singles for this class. If the minimum requirement is not met\, the class will be cancelled and class fees will be refunded. \nAbout the Class: Whether you are learning to dance for a special occasion or just want to have some fun on the dance floor\, come learn in an accepting and fun environment. Classes are open to everyone with or without a dance partner\, with all genders and gender pairings welcome. \nEach six-class session rotates between Block 1: Waltz\, Tango\, and Cha Cha & Block 2: Foxtrot\, Rumba\, and Swing. Beginner students will learn the basics of each dance and a few beginner steps. The more advance members of class will build on their prior knowledge of each dance with more advanced moves. \n Register!
