SUMMARY:Stonewall Trailblazers Lunch & Learn - Green Lawn Cemetery’s New LGBTQ+ Community Garden
DESCRIPTION:Green Lawn Cemetery & Arboretum is pleased to announce the opening of a new LGBTQ+ Community Garden. Join us at Club Diversity to learn more about this innovative new garden where our community is welcomed\, lives are celebrated\, and creative memorials are encouraged. The garden is an intentional and loving continuum of care for the LGBTQ+ community and a dedicated place where generations of LGBTQ+ persons\, friends\, and family can be remembered and celebrated. \nThe garden has over 500 burial spaces\, two columbaria containing cremation niches\, and green tree burial spaces. It will also have an art feature that the community will help choose. \nGreen Lawn Cemetery has served Ohioans from all faiths and all walks of life for over 175 years. Its majestic grounds span 325 acres and include a unique statuary\, abundant nature\, and the historic Huntington Chapel. We are a registered arboretum and part of the Scioto Greenlawn Important Bird Area. Green Lawn Cemetery is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places. \nMatthew Wolf and Margaret Pflager from Green Lawn Cemetery speak about the new LGBTQ+ Community Garden and its inspiration. Q&A session\, food and drink\, and of course good company!
