DESCRIPTION:Hit the trails with us on YOUR next adventure!\n\nPlease complete the form below to share more about yourself and which activities you’re interested in joining.  The information you provide will only be shared with the program facilitator and staff at Stonewall – your contact information will only be used for the express purpose of this program\, unless you opt in to receiving our monthly newsletter. \nHere is some info about this year’s activities that may help you decide which are best for you: \n\nAll activities meet at 10am on Saturdays\nThe specific meet-up locations will be emailed to you on the Friday before each outing\nWe will share details about each location\, to the best of our knowledge\, including ADA accessibility\, difficulty level\, and if pets are welcome (service animals are always welcome)\nThe facilitator will have a liability waiver for you to sign before the start of each outing\n\n\nOur facilitator is Gabe McDonald (he/him) – learn a bit more about Gabe below:\nHello fellow queer adventurers! My name is Gabe and I’m beyond thrilled to join Stonewall Columbus as the Adventure Pride Facilitator. I am a Columbus native and lived in Boston for 10 years before returning to my home state to live my exuberant queer life here in the Midwest. I currently live in the Short North with my amazing daughter and my delightfully silly dog. \nI’m an engineer by day but love to get outside and experience the wholeness of the wild\, natural world. I love rock climbing\, mud races\, kayaking\, gardening\, painting\, and improv. My most recent adventure was a 130-mile solo kayaking trip that left from Columbus and followed the Scioto River until it merged into Ohio River. It was as fun as it was challenging\, and the time in nature empowered me to connect to my inner strength and beauty. \nI hope to use my role at Stonewall to do some of my favorite things: connecting with people\, honoring my body through movement\, and being out in nature. I’m so excited to meet you all as we go on outdoor adventures and explore some of the amazing space central Ohio has to offer. \n

SUMMARY:Ballroom Dance Class VI – Oct 2nd thru Nov 20th – 2025
DESCRIPTION:There is a minimum of 4 couples or 8 singles for this class. If the minimum requirement is not met\, the class will be cancelled and class fees will be refunded. \nAbout the Class: Whether you are learning to dance for a special occasion or just want to have some fun on the dance floor\, come learn in an accepting and fun environment. Classes are open to everyone with or without a dance partner\, with all genders and gender pairings welcome. \nEach six-class session rotates between Block 1: Waltz\, Tango\, and Cha Cha & Block 2: Foxtrot\, Rumba\, and Swing. Beginner students will learn the basics of each dance and a few beginner steps. The more advance members of class will build on their prior knowledge of each dance with more advanced moves. \nInstructor: Jeff Grace\nJeff Grace has been dancing since the age of 8. He has been teaching ballroom dancing for over 40 years. Jeff has worked with all ages from pre-teen to adult\, including coaching a college and high school ballroom dance team. Jeff is the former owner of the Akron Dance Academy in Akron\, Ohio and has taught at various dance studios in including Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Akron and Grace’s Ballroom Studio in Paris\, Ohio. \n

If the minimum requirement is not met\, the class will be cancelled and class fees will be refunded. \nAbout the Class: Whether you are learning to dance for a special occasion or just want to have some fun on the dance floor\, come learn in an accepting and fun environment. Classes are open to everyone with or without a dance partner\, with all genders and gender pairings welcome. \nEach six-class session rotates between Block 1: Waltz\, Tango\, and Cha Cha & Block 2: Foxtrot\, Rumba\, and Swing. Beginner students will learn the basics of each dance and a few beginner steps. The more advance members of class will build on their prior knowledge of each dance with more advanced moves. \nInstructor: Jeff Grace\nJeff Grace has been dancing since the age of 8. He has been teaching ballroom dancing for over 40 years. Jeff has worked with all ages from pre-teen to adult\, including coaching a college and high school ballroom dance team. SUMMARY:Queer Yoga at Stonewall
DESCRIPTION:Come join us for a relaxing and inclusive yoga session. This event is a safe space for individuals of all identities and experience levels to come together and practice yoga in a welcoming environment. So grab your gear\, wear something comfy\, and get ready to stretch\, breathe\, and connect with your community! \nSTUDENT CHECK IN – can start up to 15 minutes before class. Instructors provide physical waivers or iPad. Water provided (courtesy of Stonewall)\, but participants are welcome to bring their own if desired. \nMATS & PROPS – provided for participants (courtesy of Central Outreach & Stonewall)\, but participants are welcome to bring their own if desired. \nCLASS TIME – 1 HR yoga practice + approx. 30 MIN mindfulness discussion/community engagement/socializing \nCLASS DESCRIPTION \nQueer Yoga is a mindfulness-based program offered to the LGBTQ+ community that promotes holistic health & wellness for Queer folx. \nSafe & supportive allies of Queer Yoga participants\, are also welcome to attend in solidarity with their family and/or friends. \nEach class offering is beginner-friendly. Instructors make the class accessible for 1st-timers\, and offer alternative poses for more advanced practitioners. \nThe program features a variety of styles and approaches\, but mainly integrates Restorative Yoga\, Hatha Yoga\, and/or Vinyasa Yoga coupled with meditation & breathwork. \nQueer Yoga upholds a platform of diversity & inclusion within the yoga teacher rotation\, to honor the fact that representation matters for students.
