My name is Gabe and I’m beyond thrilled to join Stonewall Columbus as the Adventure Pride Facilitator. I am a Columbus native and lived in Boston for 10 years before returning to my home state to live my exuberant queer life here in the Midwest. I currently live in the Short North with my amazing daughter and my delightfully silly dog. \nI’m an engineer by day but love to get outside and experience the wholeness of the wild\, natural world. I love rock climbing\, mud races\, kayaking\, gardening\, painting\, and improv. My most recent adventure was a 130-mile solo kayaking trip that left from Columbus and followed the Scioto River until it merged into Ohio River. It was as fun as it was challenging\, and the time in nature empowered me to connect to my inner strength and beauty. \nI hope to use my role at Stonewall to do some of my favorite things: connecting with people\, honoring my body through movement\, and being out in nature. I’m so excited to meet you all as we go on outdoor adventures and explore some of the amazing space central Ohio has to offer. \n

My name is Gabe and I’m beyond thrilled to join Stonewall Columbus as the Adventure Pride Facilitator. I am a Columbus native and lived in Boston for 10 years before returning to my home state to live my exuberant queer life here in the Midwest. I currently live in the Short North with my amazing daughter and my delightfully silly dog. \nI’m an engineer by day but love to get outside and experience the wholeness of the wild\, natural world. I love rock climbing\, mud races\, kayaking\, gardening\, painting\, and improv. My most recent adventure was a 130-mile solo kayaking trip that left from Columbus and followed the Scioto River until it merged into Ohio River. It was as fun as it was challenging\, and the time in nature empowered me to connect to my inner strength and beauty. \nI hope to use my role at Stonewall to do some of my favorite things: connecting with people\, honoring my body through movement\, and being out in nature. I’m so excited to meet you all as we go on outdoor adventures and explore some of the amazing space central Ohio has to offer. \n

DESCRIPTION:This peer-support group is open to all women: transgender or cisgender\, Lesbian\, Bi\, Pan\, Ace\, Demi\, Queer\, and any woman still figuring things out (regardless of age) – ALL women are welcome! \nWe discuss and compare notes in a safe environment with a focus on: \n\nKnowing and accepting yourself\nMaintaining or gaining health during a time of significant change\nGetting to know the LGBTQ+ Community.\n\nAlthough the group is facilitated by a trained coordinator\, this group is a peer-directed community group created to provide mutual support and shared experience. This group is not intended as a mental health treatment. \nTo register Women’s Out Network\, please complete this PARTICIPANT FORM.  Questions? DESCRIPTION:Join us for a chill and inclusive yoga session where everyone is welcome\, no matter your gender\, orientation\, or experience level!\n\n\n\nThis event is a safe space for individuals of all identities and experience levels to come together and practice yoga in a welcoming environment. So grab your gear\, wear something comfy\, and get ready to stretch\, breathe\, and connect with your community! \n\nSTUDENT CHECK IN – can start up to 15 minutes before class. Instructors provide physical waivers or iPad. Water provided (courtesy of Stonewall)\, but participants are welcome to bring their own if desired.\nMATS & PROPS – provided for participants (courtesy of Central Outreach & Stonewall)\, but participants are welcome to bring their own if desired.\nCLASS TIME – 1 HR yoga practice + approx. 30 MIN mindfulness discussion/community engagement/socializing\n\nCLASS DESCRIPTION\nQueer Yoga is a mindfulness-based program offered to the LGBTQ+ community that promotes holistic health & wellness for Queer folx. \nSafe & supportive allies of Queer Yoga participants\, are also welcome to attend in solidarity with their family and/or friends. \nEach class offering is beginner-friendly. Instructors make the class accessible for 1st-timers\, and offer alternative poses for more advanced practitioners. \nThe program features a variety of styles and approaches\, but mainly integrates Restorative Yoga\, Hatha Yoga\, and/or Vinyasa Yoga coupled with meditation & breathwork. \nQueer Yoga upholds a platform of diversity & inclusion within the yoga teacher rotation\, to honor the fact that representation matters for students. All students are welcomed and affirmed.
