Ron Kautz
(he – him – his)
Events Coordinator
Ron Kautz currently serves as Events Coordinator with responsibility for supporting the annual PRIDE-related events, 40th Anniversary events, LGBT Veterans Recognition Month events, membership engagement events, and other fundraising events. Ron’s passion to work for LGBT organizations comes from his life experiences. Throughout his life, Ron was able to turn to his community for support, whether something as simple as helping him find a gay-friendly doctor in the local Pink Pages or something as important as providing a phone number to call when he needed someone to listen. Ron believes LGBT organizations and community centers save lives and improve the community around them, and he wants to return the favor by helping them. In his prior professional role, Ron was Deputy Executive Director for CLAW, the nation’s third-largest leather weekend and the largest fetish educational weekend in the world. While there he helped the event grow year after year in content, attendance, and funds raised to provide donations to other organizations. Ron lives in Powell with his husband and two dogs, and they are often on the road to visit their boyfriend out of state. Ron holds a Bachelor of General Studies, having focused on Nonprofit Management and event planning, as well as a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis.
