A promising young advocate for the community is from Cleveland, Ohio.
Dezireah/Lashayy has always been called the “mentor ” or the “voice of a new generation.”
Prior to joining the Stonewall staff, Lashayy served as a Resource Navigator/Sexual Health Tester with Equitas Health where she oversaw the day-to-day operations of the prevention department conducting, connecting with clients in and out of care, and creating programming geared to the community. She also worked with the Aids Healthcare Foundation as a program coordinator.
Dezireah/Lashayy realized a disconnect between emotion and communication within her community and she knew what needed to be done.
Lashayy has devoted years of service to efforts to make a change in her community.
